SHERIFF'S OFFICE DEPUTIES GRADUATE FROM ACADEMY:  On April 4, 2024 Deputies Kirsten Garner, James Smith, and Zachary Sturdivant of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course held at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, Camden, AR.

This 13-week, 538-hour course is designed to train students in the basic duties of a law enforcement officer who serve in the state of Arkansas. Once completing this course and completing a 1-year probationary period, these deputies will be certified law enforcement officers in the state of Arkansas.

We are proud of Deputy Garner, Smith, and Sturdivant's hard work, resilience, and dedication displayed during this training period and look forward to seeing them move forward in their career as law enforcement officers with the JCSO.
