UPDATE: CONDITION OF PINE BLUFF MAN SHOT IN DEPUTY-INVOLVED SHOOTING: Jefferson County, Arkansas-Saturday, July 5, 2014-Pine Bluff man Dedric Jones, (36), was shot in an deputy-involved shooting early Saturday morning at 3003 W. Pulled Street (Swann's Bar & Grill).

At approximately 3:26 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting and upon arrival, located Jones outside on the parking lot bleeding from an apparent single gun shot wound to his chest.

EMS transported Jones to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery. Jones has been released from surgery and admitted into the hospitals intensive care unit, where his condition is said to be stable.

The deputy involved has since been placed on administrative leave with pay, pending the conclusion of the investigation, which is now underway by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Division.
