COUNTY AUCTION HAULS IN OVER 86K: Jefferson County, Arkansas – September 22, 2013 - Saturday, September 20, 2014 Tracy Robinson Auctioneers in conjunction with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Tri-County Drug Task Force and Jefferson County Road Department conducted a public auction at the Jefferson County Road Department located at 3304 W. 7th Avenue in Pine Bluff, AR.  This year’s auction was the first since last year’s auction held on April 20, 2013, which netted over $150,000.00 in sales.  Hopeful auction bidders traveled from in and across the State of Arkansas.

Bidding opened up at 9:00 a.m. with bids being placed on property ranging from seized/fleet vehicles and weapons to heavy equipment and tools.  With a final bid of $29,000.00, one lucky bidder even walked away with a speed boat estimated to be worth more than $50,000.00.

In 2013, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Jefferson County Road Department and the Tri-County Drug Task Force offered many similar items for auction to the highest bidder at a public auction where the three (3) entities gross total was $165,291.50 with $36,150.00 of the net profits being transferred back into the Sheriff’s Office Operating Budget.

“Although the overall gross sum of $86,878.50 collected from this year’s auctions was more than 47% less in profits than last year’s auction, profits were increased by more than 35% for the Sheriff’s Office with $56,433.50 being deposited back into the Sheriff’s Office operating budget to support operations and other items.  All in all, it was a successful auction”
