The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce that Kaylon McDaniel is the Deputy of the Month for April 2020. Joining the Jefferson County force in October 2019, McDaniel enjoys helping others and continues to demonstrate it through his dedication to service in the Jefferson County community.

McDaniel has been in law enforcement for nearly 7 years, with prior experience in the patrol and investigations divisions.

"It's great to be recognized as Deputy of the Month," said McDaniel. "I love being a deputy and I love serving the citizens of Jefferson County. JCSO has done so much to make our community better, and I'm happy to be a part of that. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to make a difference each day and to help make the community a safer and better place to live."

Described as a knowledgeable hard worker with a great attitude, McDaniel is a member of The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Arkansas and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

"Deputy McDaniel came to JCSO with investigative experience, which has been a major asset to our division, and he doesn't mind sharing his experience and opinions with the deputies who are still learning," said Patrol Lieutenant Christopher Grider. "He also has a good attitude and work ethic that is going to take him far in his law enforcement career."

The quality of dedication is very important for the agency's long-term success. We look forward to McDaniel's ability to achieve the highest level of success, and being recognized as Deputy of the Month is just the beginning. We value all our employees and are especially pleased to watch them meet the challenges presented and grow into greater individuals.

It is our sincere hope that you will join us in congratulating Kaylon McDaniel on his accomplishment and in wishing him continued success at our agency.
