Happy Columbus Day

Columbus-Day-Flyer.jpg

Citizens,

Today's Columbus Day holiday commemorates the spirit of exploration and is the start of the first week of the fall season. This time of year is accompanied by cooler temperatures and daylight hours become shorter. These changes should heighten everyone's awareness as they make travel plans. We encourage every citizen to take full advantage of today's holiday and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

We also emphasize the importance of not driving while under the influence of alcohol or medication. Do not text while driving and obey all traffic laws and road restrictions. If traveling out of town with family or friends, please ensure that you are well-rested and plan adequate rest stops during your travel.

We challenge each of you to place safety at the top of your holiday plans and make the right decision in whatever you do.

Sincerely,
