New Year's Message

Dear Jefferson County Residents,

At the start of each New Year, I am optimistic about the future.  For 2014, my optimism is for the people of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office personnel.

For the first time, Jefferson County residents will have access to a newly built public safety facility that is more convenient and accessible.  The construction of our new office offers residents the opportunity to be provided the very best in public safety.

I am optimistic because I have a plan that will strengthen and unify Jefferson County law enforcement and continue to build on the foundation laid by this administration.

Part of this year's focus is to unite the citizens of Jefferson County, continue to give first priority to the interests of the people who elected me to be their Sheriff, and not fall to the pressure of special interest or self proclaimed political stakeholders.

As we move through 2014, we will be ramping up our efforts to engage, inform, and unite voters in our common cause.  After all, in the end. there can only be one Sheriff and he must serve all of the citizens of Jefferson County regardless of anything else.
