WHITE HALL SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES; UNDERCOVER STING NETS DISCOVERY AND SEIZURE OF APPROX 1LB OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA: Jefferson County, Arkansas – August 27, 2015- Jason Bolik, 29, a seventh-grade mathematics teacher, who also coached soccer and tennis for the White Hall School District in White Hall, AR was arrested Thursday, August 27, 2015 following an undercover sting, where an undisclosed amount of suspected marijuana was purchased from Bolik.

 

Based upon a probable cause, law enforcement authorities from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Tri-County Drug Task Force, and White Hall Police Department all assisted in the arrest of Bolik following a traffic stop along Hardin Reed Road. The discovery of two safes in Bolik’s possession at the time of his arrest prompted the application of a search & seizure warrant in order to access the safes to examine its contents. A search of the safes netted the discovery and seizure of approximately 1 lb of suspected marijuana.

Bolik faces charges of violating Arkansas Criminal Code Annotated A.C.A. § 5-64-438. Delivery of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana), a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year of incarceration and a fine of up to $2,500.00 and A.C.A. § 5-64-436. Possession of a Scheduled VI controlled substance (marijuana) with the purpose to deliver, a Class C felony punishable by 3 to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $10,000.

Bolik was transported to the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center, where he was booked in and is currently being held on probable cause pending a bond hearing for the charges listed above.
