TUCKER, ARKANSAS GIRLS DIES OF INJURIES SUFFERED IN ATV ACCIDENT: Jefferson County, Arkansas - June 10, 2017-The family of 8-year-old girl gathered at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Saturday night after the 8-year-old was transported to the emergency room following an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in which the 8-year-old was a passenger.
The 8-year-old was riding with step-mother, Wyameka Davis, 34 when the accident took place just before 9 p.m., at the Tucker City Park located near intersection of J.T. Henslee Road and Highway 15 North in Tucker, Arkansas. The vehicle overturned and the 8-year-old was immediately ejected. The ATV then came to a final rest, landing on top of the 8-year-old and pinning her underneath.
The 8-year-old was not said to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was airlifted by helicopter to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where she died a short time later.
The accident is under investigation.
