JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE LAUNCH NEW AND IMPROVED RESPONSIVE WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP: Jefferson County, Arkansas – April 23, 2019-The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the launch of their new responsive website (www.JeffCoSO.org). The responsive website solution provides access to all features of the website, including inmate roster, press releases, most wanted, and sex offender information. The responsive design allows site visitors to access the information they want and need from any device with simple, flexible navigation.

“We are proud to introduce this enhanced design using up-to-date technology to increase the transparency of our office and to provide a 24/7 information source for county residents and visitors,” said Sheriff Lafayette Woods, Jr.

Woods continued, “Our goal with the website is to provide transparency between our office and the public. We want the public to understand how this office serves the community, residents, and visitors. We want our community members to have the information they need, when they need it. Each day, more visitors are accessing the website using their smart phones, tablets, and other devices. The responsive design allows users to more quickly and conveniently access the information on the device of their choice. The site also features a Site Search, which makes finding specific information much faster and easier for the site visitor.”

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is also pleased to announce the launch of their App, available free for users to download on both Android and iOS mobile devices. To download, visit www.JeffCoSO.org/app or go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and type “Jefferson County Sheriff” in the search bar.

The mobile App allows easy access to the most important features of the website: Contact Us, Submit a Crime Tip, Inmate Roster, Most Wanted, Sex Offender Map, Crime Map, Press Releases, Special Alerts, and Frequently Asked Questions.

The App user can select which push notifications they would like to subscribe to, including daily Inmate Roster notifications, Most Wanted, Sex Offender, and Press Release alerts. The new mobile App will serve as an additional information resource for the public and will assist with community policing efforts.

This responsive website and the mobile App technology broaden the scope of community policing efforts and improve the Sheriff’s Office’s ability to keep citizens informed.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office recommends the community visit the new responsive website and download the App.
