UAPB STUDENT JOINS JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AS INTERN IN PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETING:  Jefferson County, Arkansas - September 15, 2023 - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) is proud to announce the appointment of Zaria Moore, a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), as a student-intern in our agency's Public Relations and Marketing Section.

In her role, Miss Moore will take on significant responsibilities, including researching, assembling, writing, editing, and producing materials related to JCSO operations, programs, and events. Her expertise and enthusiasm will be instrumental in enhancing the agency's communication efforts.

Among her key responsibilities, Miss Moore will be tasked with conducting in-depth research to support JCSO's communications initiatives, collaborating on content development and editing for various communication channels, spearheading publicity activities aimed at raising awareness for JCSO activities, services, and programs. Additionally, Miss Moore will be responsible for expanding communication resources through the use of existing and emerging technology and media.

Sheriff Lafayette Woods, Jr. expressed his excitement about the new addition to the team, saying, "We are delighted to welcome Zaria Moore to JCSO. Her skills and dedication to the field of Marketing, combined with her fresh perspective, will undoubtedly contribute to our agency's mission of serving and engaging with the community effectively. We look forward to witnessing her growth and accomplishments during her internship."

JCSO has maintained a longstanding partnership with the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff through their Office of Career Services, resulting in the successful hiring of over a dozen UAPB students. These talented individuals, who began their journey as interns with us, have gone on to achieve remarkable career success, thanks to the invaluable foundation of professional work experience gained at JCSO.
