ASSISTANCE FROM PUBLIC IN IDENTIFYING PERSONS OF INTEREST:  On October 23 and November 19, 2023 attempts were made to introduce contraband items into the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center. Detention center personnel were alerted to the activity and were able to intercept the items before they entered the secured facility.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that both individuals were brought to the facility in a white in color Chevrolet Impala, with damage to the passenger side tail light/bumper. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) is seeking the public's help in identifying these persons of interest and or the owner of the Chevrolet Impala.

Sheriff Woods commends the diligence and attentiveness of detention center personnel which averted the delivery of this contraband to other detainees. He reiterated the zero-tolerance policy against contraband and the commitment to seeking the maximum penalty possible for those who choose to violate the law.

The JCSO remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in the operation of our detention centers and will continue to take decisive action against violations of our policies or the law. We are hopeful someone from the public will recognize this individual or the vehicle involved and contact us with that information.
