ASSISTANCE FROM PUBLIC IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECT INVOLVED IN COMMERCIAL BURGLARY:  On May 11, 2024, a Deputy from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Uniformed Patrol Division was dispatched to the Dollar General store located on Highway 79 South in reference to a commercial burglary and theft of property.

During the subsequent investigation deputies were able to obtain security camera footage showing an unknown black male wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and white shoes breaking the glass door at approximately 6:50 AM and entering the store at approximately 7:12 AM.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigation Division, is requesting the publics assistance in identifying the person in the photograph above.
