JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECOGNIZED AS WINNERS OF THIS YEARS ARKANSAS SHERIFF’S ASSOCIATION STATE-WIDE MAGAZINE SALES: Jefferson County, Arkansas – June 29, 2012 – The Arkansas Sheriff’s Association (ASA) hosted their annual Summer Convention this year in Harrison, AR, where for the first time the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was recognized as this year’s winner for the ASA’s Arkansas Sheriff and Deputy Magazine ad sales statewide competition.  Sheriff Gerald Robinson along with sheriff’s and representatives from seventy-four (74) other counties within Arkansas took part in the competition and were in attendance at this year’s convention.  Accepting the award for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was Sheriff Robinson accompanied by Deputy Sheriff’s Israel Romero and Harley Herring, who both were recognized by ASA for their exclusive help with ad sales and distribution of the 2012 magazine publication released on April 20, 2012.

ASA’s Arkansas Sheriff and Deputy Magazine publication began several years ago.  In an effort to prevent crime and drug abuse in counties statewide, the ASA began offering businesses and individuals the opportunity to show their support for their local sheriffs of Arkansas through advertising in the annual publication of the Arkansas Sheriff and Deputy Magazine.  The ASA staff works directly with the county sheriff’s department by having your local sheriff or one of his deputies accompany them to each local business, rather than making telephone solicitations.  The Arkansas Sheriff and Deputy magazine is distributed to all county sheriffs’ departments, schools, churches, civic organizations and the businesses and individuals who make this publication possible.  Each ASA representative works exclusively for the 75 sheriffs of Arkansas through the ASA Board of Directors, not for an advertising firm or publishing company.

The Arkansas Sheriff and Deputy Magazine is supported through the sale of advertising.  All monies received are governed by sheriffs who make up our Board of Directors. As an affiliate member, your advertisement will appear in the publication to be distributed throughout your county. The sole purpose of this magazine is to deter crime and substance abuse in your community by supplying educational information concerning some of the most prevalent social issues affecting our society today.  Copies of this year’s magazine can be obtained by request.  For magazine inquiries, please dial our non-emergency number at (870) 541-5351 or visit our main office located at 101 E. Barraque Street, Suite 112, Pine Bluff, AR.

“Special thanks to all of the businesses, organizations and individuals who supported this year’s magazine”.

  –Sheriff Gerald Robinson
