SHERIFF'S AUCTION NETS OVER 150K: Jefferson County, Arkansas – April 24, 2013 - Saturday, April 20, 2013 Tracy Robinson Auctioneers in conjunction with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Road Department, Jefferson County Recycling, Jefferson County Building and Grounds, Tri-County Drug Task Force and Pine Bluff Vice & Narcotics Division conducted a public auction at the Jefferson County Road Department located at 3304 W. 7^th Avenue in Pine Bluff, AR.  This year’s auction was the largest to be held in Jefferson County.  The auction had maximum participation with over 100 registered bidders that traveled from far and near.

Bidding opened up at 9:00 a.m. with more than 100 bids placed on property ranging from seized/fleet vehicles and heavy equipment to furniture and audio equipment.  This auction was handled using the 10% Buyers Premium. 

In 2011, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Jefferson County Road Department and the Tri-County Drug Task Force offered similar items for auction to the highest bidder at a public auction where the three (3) entities gross total was $101,999.30 with $30,803.25 of the net profits being transferred back into the Sheriff’s Office Operating Budget.

The overall gross sum of $165,291.50 collected from this year’s auctions surpassed 2011 numbers by 62% with $36,150.00 of the net total monies collected being deposited back into the Sheriff’s Office Operating Budget.
