DETENTION CENTER ESCAPEES CAPTURED: Jefferson County, Arkansas - January 21, 2015 – The Justin Cartwright (24) and Corderro Foster (26), who escaped from the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center this afternoon; sparking an approximate hour-long search by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by authorities from the Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Department of Corrections, and Pine Bluff Police Department have been apprehended.

Cartwright and Foster were both transported to the detention center and escorted inside the intake area, where the two were initially handcuffed to the holding bench awaiting processing following their arrest by Pine Bluff Police Department authorities on probable cause for aggravated robbery, theft by receiving and possession of firearm by certain person charges originating in Pine Bluff, AR.

 

Approximately 1 hour after their initial escape, Cartwright and Foster were both apprehended inside the fence of storage facility located at 700 George Street, approximately 4 blocks or .5 miles south of the detention center.

 

In addition to the host of charges Cartwright and Foster previously faced, they will now also be charged with battery and escape.

 

The incident has spurred an internal investigation to determine the violation of any policy and/or procedures.
